The Piper is a psychological horror film directed by Erlingur Thoroddsen. The story revolves around a young couple, Finn and Dagny, who move into a remote Icelandic village with their two children. They hope to start a new life away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

As Finn and Dagny dig deeper into the village's secrets, they uncover a conspiracy involving the villagers, who are aware of the piper's return and are willing to sacrifice their children to keep the creature appeased.

Desperate to protect their own children, Finn and Dagny must unravel the truth behind the piper's return and find a way to stop him before it is too late. The couple becomes entangled in a battle against the villagers, who will do anything to protect their dark secret.

The film explores themes of sacrifice, belief, and the lengths people will go to for survival. As Finn and Dagny confront their own worst fears and the sinister force that haunts the village, they must ultimately decide how far they are willing to go to save their family and put an end to the piper's reign of terror.
